Reach Retreat Day 1 | Our Arrival

We all arrived at the domestic airport for our private charter flight.  As we arrived we were greeted by the most beautiful rainbow and fresh squeezed juice and cookies.

As we drove 20 minutes to our home away from home we saw locals playing soccer surrounded by fields of palm trees, local kiddos playing and fishing in the rain, and the beautiful landscape of Costa Rica.

As we made our way up the mountain we saw peeks of the ocean, beautiful trees, and the sounds of the jungle getting strong as we made our way to our home away from home for the week.

As attendees arrived for the welcome party they were greeted with the smell of jungle rain, incense, cool essential oil towels, fresh mocktails, and delicious appetizers.

After meeting the retreat team each attendee was shown to their private accommodation where they had their Reach Retreat swag waiting for them. Our girl Krista Bleer always brings our Reach Retreat swag vision to life.

Later after everyone settled in we met for our first candlelit four-course dinner prepared by our amazing chef Daniel and team. We laughed, met new people, and kick-started the retreat with a welcome toast and speech by our founder and host @danielle_throckmorton.

Finally, to end the arrival day we enjoyed the most magical and relaxing sound bath facilitated by our co-facilitator @delaneymaberry and then returned to our homes for our first night of sleep while being held by the sounds of the jungle.

Reach Retreat Day 2 | Adventure and Connection

It is always so important to intentionally design space and time for connection outside of workshops and group sessions.

With Reach Retreat the most impactful moments are those that happen organically and in a more 1:1 intimate space or around the dinner table.

As with every Retreat, we had a slower morning waking up alongside nature. It is beautiful to see that the jungle is alive and thriving when the sun is up and quiets and sleeps when the sun sets. It’s that beautiful Circadian rhythm that sets the tone.

Our time at Reach Retreat is designed to allow for slower more intentional mornings. We call this your intentional time. We dive more into this method while at the retreat but for our first morning the ladies were given a meditation card and journal prompts that Delaney and our founder @danielle_throckmorton intentionally designed for the ladies to dive into on their first morning for the retreat.

Then as with every retreat, we have custom coffee and tea awaiting them. At this year's retreat, it was even prepared and delivered to the doorstep of each attendee to encourage them to spend intuitional time with themselves at the start of each day.

Breakfast was magical and we were greeted by the sun peeking over the tree line. Nothing is better than good company, sunshine, delicious food, and getting to connect around the table.

Our first full day was designed to be all about adventure and connection so we kick-started breakfast with each lady having a few minutes to share who they are, what they do, and what they are most excited about, and then headed towards the Nayauca waterfall for a morning of adventure.

Some choose to hike and others took jeeps deep into the rainforest where we got to admire and swim in this sacred space.

Later that evening we dove into even more connection time as we had an extended afternoon by the infinity pool overlooking the jungle and ocean. Mocktails, snacks, deep conversations, cannonballs into the pool, and all soaked up the first sunset as Reach Retreaters before heading to dinner and a late-night yin yoga and meditation session with @delaneymaberry before bed.

Reach Retreat Day 3 | Clarity and Direction

Our theme and focus for this year was about gaining clarity around our time, money, and energy as we go into 2023.

First, started with our slow intentional time, @delaneymaberry held morning yoga, a few of the ladies enjoyed a morning massage, and then we all met back at heart for a delicious breakfast and specialty drinks from the wellness bar.

The follo breakfast we dove into Part 1 of the workshop with @danielle_throckmorton . This was dedicated to Energy Mastery.  As a business strategist and multi-passionate entrepreneur I have found that energy is our most important asset in your business. It what all else is built upon. This session was in a breakout format where each of the ladies had the opportunity to have dedicated time and space to be seen and heard. They dove into what was energy-giving vs. draining in life and business and really got to support and hold space for one another. As I visited each group I heard the women questioning, supporting and encouraging one another. Laughs and tears were shed and some deeper bonding was made.

To wrap up part 1 we also talked a lot about the difference between happiness vs. joy. This is personally as a host one of my favorite topics. I believe and teach that Happiness is a result of your circumstances of which you cannot control. However, joy is an intentional action you can cultivate. You can choose JOY even in the mundane. So….we created a JOY list that we can access at any tim to move ourselves up the emotional and energetic scale. Energy tends to be what we put on the back burner and ultimately leads to burnout and frustration.

After a short stretch break with Delaney, we moved to the Bali Master for the next workshop. This was where we were able to work alongside the infinity pool and ocean view as I led the ladies through Time Mastery and built their ideal schedules on their terms. We talked about high-energy times, theme days, and creating boundaries for their downtime, and we deep into their 2023 calendar and protected time for them to work and play with more intention.

So many times we set our goals financially based on 52 weeks a year and that often leaves us feeling defeated and falling short of our goals. So getting clear on your working weeks allows you to set goals that work for you and your life, not the other way around.

To wrap up the day's workshops we dove into part 3! Money Mastery as business owners. We tend to get lost in all the other tasks and responsibilities and rarely get to sit with our money and financial goals long enough to ensure we are giving the right attention to the offers that are the highest income-generating and most life-giving. This is where we tied the day's workshops up with a bow. Energy mastery must exist and have a place on our calendars, we have to have space to work with clients and be able to experience joy, and we need to ensure we have a solid offer suite to support our bigger vision goals. This part of the workshop for most would leave more in-depth one-to-one work to get clear, run numbers, assess the gaps, and create a roadmap. So we ended the day there.

The afternoon was for more connection as we swam, explored the property, enjoyed mocktails, and watched the sunset together. The icing on the day was when @delaneymaberry lead our Cacao ceremony and somatic dance for a few of the attendees. This was a time to open our hearts and get in touch with our internal selves. The emotions, power, and connection of this ceremony as a host was one of my most magical moments.

This was a day to get the wheels turning, gain some clarity, and bring to surface areas of life and business that need to be adjusted to elevate to serve the intentional life we desire to live.
It was pure magic.

Reach Retreat Day 4 | Intention

The morning kick-started with our intentional time. Some stayed in their rooms and others went for a morning solo hike.

The property had a fallen tree so for a large part of the morning we all gathered at the heart for coffee and breakfast with only sounds of the jungle and personal conversation filling the air.

Our final full day was focused on implementation and creating our roadmap for 2023. Without power, we pivoted and worked with pen and paper as we dove deep into our next steps/strategy. @danielle_throckmorton worked her way around the room as many breakout sessions and brainstorming were at play. This time was intended for deep thought and intentional planning.

As the day moved forward we gained power, enjoyed lunch, and headed to the House of Masters for our afternoon session.

@delaneymaberry was our co-facilitator this year and prepared a powerful and educational keynote on the stress cycle and the power of using breathwork and meditation once we return home and begin integrating this intentional life and business roadmap we created. This keynote was the perfect combination of science and woo and really helped to wrap up the retreat experience.

The afternoon as with every retreat ended with a party and final ceremony. 16 powerful women who have now grown so close pack into the SUV's and we head for a luxury beach party.

We started with the DJ playing music as we all ran towards the ocean and played like kids again. We laughed, smiled until our faces hurt, and took a million selfies as we rode the waves.

As the sun started to set we started our final ceremony where we covered ourselves in "healing clay" from the property and @delaneymaberry led us through a mediation where we slathered clay all over our body to symbolize the release of the old and the renewal of self. After we applied the clay, we set our intentions through guided meditation and then ran into the ocean and cleansed ourselves.

Then as the sun set beyond the horizon we enjoyed a 4-course candlelit dinner while sitting on pillows in the sand. @suzannwade gave us the most beautiful speech about her experience and we ended the day dancing around the bonfire until our legs hurt. This was the perfect ending to a perfect week as we cuddle in our beds for a final sleep in the jungle.
