2020 Reach Retreat | Tulsa

Year one of Reach Retreat was held in September of 2020 at a beautiful 1920's Historic Estate in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Marking the official birth of Reach Retreat and setting the tone for what Reach Retreat would later be known as.

" a life-changing experience and pivotal moment that would shape the lives and businesses of women."

The Abby Manor was decided on post the official launch. Even with the pandemic in full swing we pivoted from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and still made this experience come to life.

Day 1 of Reach Retreat | The Arrival

Each woman arrived and was greeted by our valet, their bags ushered to their room, and a glass of chilled champagne awaiting them.

Shortly after arrival at the Manor, we kicked off the welcome party, dove into the swag bags, and enjoyed a wine tasting hosted by the amazing Amy. This was the perfect opener for each lady to have the opportunity to share why they said yes to this experience, and tell one another a little more about their families, businesses, and the intentions they had for showing up in this space despite the chaos our world was in.

Within a few hours, the walls were coming down, and everyone enjoyed charcuterie, sipped wine, indulged in a beautiful candlelit dinner prepared by our chef Janice, and ended the first evening over hot tea and conversation before heading for a night of rest.

Day 2 | You Matter & Nothing happens in the waiting room

The following morning the ladies were greeted by the smell of bacon and coffee. The mornings at Reach Retreat are designed to be slow. We believe in the power of setting aside intentional time to pre-pave your day. This time is called Intentional Time and has been designed to hold space for the women to read, sip coffee, journal, and be with themselves before the hustle of the day begins. This is a tool our founder Danielle Throckmorton implemented for years, and whole-heartedly believes in the power of each woman setting aside intentional time for themselves daily.

As the day progressed, the ladies enjoyed breakfast from our chef, prepared for our morning group sessions, and we dove into the educational portion of Reach Retreat.

Our Keynote Speaker, Diana Guintu, pours into you from the second she enters the room, energy magnetic, and her heart to reach the women present. She dives deep into the importance of making ourselves a priority and how we are leaders for those around us. She stresses the significance of taking back our I-matter card. As women in the thick of the pandemic, it was imperative.

She brought to the surface the areas that needed to be prioritized, helped identify where they were currently, and inspired everyone to seek the life they truly desired. At Reach Retreat Diana, is prominent for her quote " If you are waiting for the right time to start taking care of yourself, it isn't coming ladies. We must step out of the waiting room if we want the change." That moment influenced the room as they examined how to apply this to their life and business.

Following the group session, it was time to break for lunch before returning for breakouts.

Diana kicked off accentuating the significance of releasing limiting beliefs or old patterns that keep you fixed.

She opened up by leading by example and sharing about the experience of letting go of the title "I am poor" this story of her past was keeping her from experiencing the beauty of the life she had created full of wealth, not just in the numbers.

She encouraged us to do the same. As everyone stepped into the intimate 1:1 break out each was able to identify what was holding them back. Later in the retreat, we had a moment to set it free but so much more happened in between.

It's in the in-between where the Reach Retreat magic happens. The intimate conversations, laughter, and experiences allow us to learn and grow from one another. It is like the ultimate sleepover but as adults. It's a connection with yourself and others without all the daily distractions.

To wrap up the first full day together, all dressed in Reach Retreat colors, enjoyed fun cocktails, a plated dinner by candlelight, admiring the place settings, and then our DJ David kicked off the evening party.

We had a custom popcorn bar, karaoke, and danced until we couldn't anymore. We were all laughing and playing like we were kids again. It was food for the soul and that time together will never be forgotten.

Day 3 | Take back your financial power & strike your power pose

The smell of breakfast and coffee fills the air as all attendees settle into their intentional time. As breakfast is served the ladies gather around the table, and conversations and laughter fill the room. The energy has shifted, and it's like the family has all come together after a few months apart. So many stories, insights, and powerful breakthroughs from yesterday were exchanged across the table.

Following breakfast, all prepare for a group session.

Our speaker Jennifer took the floor. Day three's topic was so desperately needed. How to be intentional with our money as business owners. The topic of money can be hot and confusing, but also a necessary evil. Jennifer shared a story of her financial struggle as a business owner following the close of her marriage and bankruptcy. She shared about her long love of education and how she finally landed on a method that allowed her clients to love their life and their money.

She opened up the room for conversation, did a hands-on example/workshop of the Profit First Method by ____insert other__ and demonstrated how she teaches this method to her clients. This was a hands-on conversational keynote that allowed the women to truly see how to implement tools, strategies, and tactics to gain back their finaical power.

The room was vulnerable and open to sharing their struggles and frustrations, and the level of support from lady to lady filled this space.

The final breakout session of the day took place, as everyone set intentions moving forward, and then the afternoon was designed as a break for reflection, rest, and intimate conversation with one another. Some ladies lay by the pool, rested in the hammocks, took naps, and went for a long walks.

Later in the day we had a yoga session for those who desired to join in.

Our amazing Delaney arrived and walked the ladies through a session that they will remember forever. This session was pivotal for many of the ladies, and when reviewing the feedback was mentioned throughout. This was just the beginning of our connection with Delaney and the impact she would make through Reach Retreat.

Our final evening was themed the All Black Night. A night to step into your favorite black attire, strike a power pose, and own this new empowered version of you. It was a night to laugh, connect, be pampered, and treated to a multiple-course meal by candlelight. Wine service to table, the most epic dessert to top off the experience, and wind down from an epic day.

Our final evenings of Reach Retreat always end with a final ceremony. An intentional space is held for you, and with each retreat, it looks a little different.

This years final ceremony was a fireside chat and release. We came with hot tea, comfy blankets and gathered around the fire. To put a bow on this experience, we chose to wrap up by writing down what they wanted to leave right there at Abby Manor. It was time to release old stories, habits, patterns, or beliefs that were no longer serving them. Many wrote them on paper and felt called to share.

Everyone held space for one another, supported each other, and even released some emotions they were holding as they burned the paper and released them into the air.

The weight was lifted, and lives were forever changed. This retreat was just the beginning of the impact Reach Retreat would have on the world, the women who committed to being here for themselves, and every single woman who committed to doing the same.

Day 4 | Returning Home

The final morning included laughter, tears, amazing food, and all departed feeling excited about what was in store. The ladies were ready to show up intentionally for the life and businesses they desired. They may be states apart, but a forever bond was created, and the beauty that unfolded from year one is hard to truly explain.

As Krystal Marrazi, our 3x returning Reach Retreater said "you just have to experience Reach Retreat to understand."
